Ingredients
- Butter (2 sticks)
- Blanched almonds (1 cup)
- Sugar (1 cup)
- Water (1 tbsp)
- Light corn syrup (1 tbsp)
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
Directions
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Add butter, almonds, sugar, water, and corn syrup to a saucepan.
- Stir constantly over medium heat until one shade darker than light brown sugar, ~12 minutes.
- Pour onto prepared cookie sheet and top with chocolate
- Spread chocolate on top as it melts
- Cool in refrigerator.
- Break into pieces.
Notes
- Use whatever kind of chocolate you prefer. If using bars instead of chips, break it into small pieces for melting.
- Dark corn syrup works fine if light corn syrup isn’t available.
